The Sarah Silverman Program
Comedy Central said Monday it has ordered six episodes of a half-hour series starring Sarah Silverman. The show, tentatively titled "The Sarah Silverman Program," is set to premiere in the summer.
Based on an idea by Silverman, Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab, the series stars Silverman as a character -- also named Sarah Silverman -- whose absurd daily life will be told through an array of scripted comedic scenes and songs.

Sarah Silverman Set for Spirit Awards
Sarah Silverman has been tapped to serve as the M.C. for this year's Independent Spirit Awards, taking place March 4th in Santa Monica, CA. "I'm so happy to be hosting the Independent Spirit Awards!" Silverman said in a statement, "My boyfriend told me to say that I have a very independent spirit." Diana Zahn-Storey is returning to produce the event for the twelfth consecutive year.
